Amy's Art Walkers were out in full force for the Philadelphia Folk Fest in 2012.  Held in Schwenksville, Pa, "The Fest" as it is known locally draws fans from all over the world for a weekend of camping and folk music.

While the rest of the crew ventured through the concert grounds, parking lots and huge camping field, Amy Rims and sister Megan  took a unique opportunity to get the art out to the festing crowds.   They both chose to walk down the Perkiomen Trail.  This "Rails to Trails" project runs along the folk festival grounds along the Perkiomen creek.  Although the idea of selling artwork to folks on a trail might seem odd, it's a perfect for art walking challenge for Amy and Megan.

Walking Art out to the fringes of the Folk Fest proved to be another success for Amy's Art Walkers.  Everyone loves seeing the girls in costume and the attention grabs people's focus and a smile.  Art walkers walking down a wooded bike trail are guaranteed to get attention, Megan and Amy posed for many pictures along the way.

Taking the art to the fest was an overwhelming success because of the mix of people.   The fest brings out young and old, rich and poor and everyone in between and everyone enjoys the site of the art walkers.  The added fact of blazing the trail, which turned more than a few heads (actually, it turned all heads, some twice), brought the art sales to an extreme level.

Amy and Megan celebrated their success by hanging out at Joe's Spring Mount Hotel and meeting new folks and bringing the art to them.
